Street Photo Social Exhibiton 2026 – Open Call
OPEN CALL IS NOW CLOSED!
Thanks to everyone who submitted!
Street Photo Social is curating a street photography exhibition celebrating Edinburgh through the eyes of local photographers. The exhibition will be held at the Whitespace Gallery in Edinburgh from 27 Feb - 4 Mar 2026.
The open call for submissions runs until until 19 Dec 2025. Submit up to 3 photographs for a chance to have your photos professionally printed and exhibited.
The Brief
We're looking for street photography that captures your unique view of Edinburgh – its people, its streets, its character. The work should fit the general street photography narrative: candid shots or in-the-moment street portraits. The definition of street photography we’re using is broad:
Street photography is candid photography of everyday life in public spaces, typically featuring people (though not always) and emphasizing spontaneous, unposed moments. The “street” is more metaphorical than literal; it can include parks, beaches, subways, markets, or any public setting.
This is a local exhibition, so we're looking for photographers who live in or around the Edinburgh area (e.g. within 30 miles or so) and shoot regularly in the city. The photos must have been taken in Edinburgh.
Typical editing is fine but please don't submit heavily manipulated images.
